Who are we?
In the Fall of 2022, God burdened us with the epidemic of loneliness. A pattern of separation and isolation overwhelming our nation. As a combat veteran with PTSD, I am acutely aware of the effects of this isolation, as a rising number of veterans, brothers and sisters, lose the battle for their health and lives. God gave us a vision of community in response to this burden.
New Method, Classic Message
Church @ The Hub embraces a new method to deliver the message given by Jesus 2000 years ago. We do this through a community centered focus. The vision includes a community center with amenities like a coffee shop, gym, and an indoor playground. This space will be open to all, a true community center, regardless of membership in the church. We use this space with events and other activities to build an active community within the area within 5 minutes of Harlan High School.
A New Family
From that community, we will build a family, sharing the gospel and loving our neighbors well. One of the key groups we hope to reach is veterans and active military, who understand what community is, to live, work, and play together and sacrifice for one another. We believe this group will thrive in a new brotherhood and with a new mission, serving the community around us and inviting others into our brotherhood.
Church @ The Hub is planting in partnership with SEND Network, TCAL Church, and Excel Leadership Network.
