Exciting Things are Happening
There are some exciting things going on in Valley Ranch and Far West San Antonio! We are seeing God do amazing things and hunger for more. As we have settled in to our home, we have started inviting friends, both new and old, to join us for meals. We are also planning some big events. Starting on Thursday the 26th, we are opening our home to a new thing. We start Alpha and we're praying to have 10-12 new faces to ask big questions with. Pray we have great conversations!
On the 28th, we're having our first info gathering, welcoming anyone to come and join us to learn more about what we're doing here. Why we're planting. And how they can be part of it. I'll be smoking some pork and we'll have some great pulled pork sliders. Really excited to start this.
But before all of this, we have 2 major events for the church plant. This weekend, on Sunday morning, we have been invited to share the vision at Alamo Community Church, a church just outside of our target area, and invite members of their body to join us in this call. Their pastor, Kevin, has invited me to share and to set up a table, inviting people to join us and to learn more.
After church on Sunday, Laura and I board a plane en route to Peoria, Illinois where we will be assessed as potential church planters for Northwoods Community Church. They have a very generous planting program that we have been invited to participate in and we are excited to be meeting with them.
Returning home, we will be preparing for our reassessment with SEND network and prayerfully hoping for the next steps in that process, which provides some much needed structural resources to us (an independent giving platform, payroll and bookkeeping, and more).
Continue to pray for us as we walk these steps, both building more backstop for the ministry, and engaging in the ministry itself!
